The purpose of Biotopkartering.se is to provide you with the information needed to perform biotope mapping of watercourses and to use the Swedish national database of biotope mapping (Biotopkarteringsdatabasen) to add data and access data from previous mappings.
Biotopkarteringsdatabasen (Swedish. Link will open in a new tab) is a database that is accessible to the public and the data is classified as “open data”. Learn more about “open data” on the European Data Portal (link will open in a new tab).
Biotopkartering.se and Biotopkarteringsdatabasen are managed by the County Administrative Board och Jönköping county (link will open in a new tab). The financing is provided by the Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management (link will open in a new tab).
Biotopkartering.se does not exist in an English version. You are however welcome to contact us in English with a request for help in accessing data or in other ways working with the database. We will do our very best to help you.
